Organic project “Green TEE”, by Asako Ishii, originally of Patagonia. Currently, 95% of the world’s cotton is cultivated using a large amount of highly poisonous pesticides. This desrtoys the natural beauty of the earth on a daily basis, and thus involves fashion in a huge amount of environmental damage. As such, we propose organic cotton, made via organic cultivation and raised via natural cultivation methods, thus hugely reduce the damage to the environment.
In a different manner from conventional organic cotton, “Green TEE” has been deployed as a material brand for the purpose of expanding the circulation system of organics. Green TEE’s Japanese website has just been revamped. Not only its background, but also its feeling of comfort on the skin because of high-quality thread has become acclaimed, and it is used by many international brands and in original items such as Ron Herman. It has gained much attention in regard to its future expansion.
元パタゴニアの石井朝子によるオーガニックプロジェクト『Green TEE』。現在、世界のコットンの95%が毒性の強い、大量の農薬を使用し栽培されており、日々地球の美しい自然を破壊し、環境に大きな負担を与えていることに対しファッションに関わるものとして、無農薬有機栽培により、限りなく環境への負担を減らし、ナチュラルな栽培法で育てられたオーガニックコットンを提案している。
従来のオーガニックトレンドとは一線を画し、オーガニックというその循環システムそのものを広げるための素材ブランドとして展開される『Green TEE』の国内向けのWEB SITEがリニューアルされた。その背景のみならず肌触りのいい上質糸としても評価が高く、数多くの海外ブランドやロンハーマンなどで採用されており今後の広がりに注目が集まる。
